REGISTRATION & SHOWDOWN GUIDE

STEP-BY-STEP Guide from registration to actual showdown:

The following will tell you how to get yourself registered and what you will be expected to do during the day of your competition:

BEFORE WE BEGIN:

The maximum number of members in a group will be 15 members and all of the members need to be registered.

The maximum number of registered participants for the showdown will be 10 per day regardless group or solo at a first come first serve basis. That means it will be 20 participants in total for 2 days. Those who registered but did not get a slot, don’t worry, we advise you to always be ready because you’ll be listed in the reserved list which will be explained below.

STEP 1 REGISTRATION:

  • Online registration – The earlier to register, the better. This is the best to know if you are in and to secure your slot anyway. Submitting your registration does not guarantee you getting a slot either. We will need to check your submissions before we reply “Yes, you are in!”.

OR

  • On-site registration/ Reserve list – You may register on-site before 12pm on the day of Cosplay Showdown that you intend to participate at theOrganizer’s booth (inside event hall) to check if we can slot you in or we may put you under reserve list. Should any of those who registered online but did not show up or meet our requirements to proceed to the competition during check-in, their slot will be forfeit and we will inform you that you have your slot to replace them latest by 2pm (be sure to check any notification via phone or check with Organizer’s booth). *Please note that you will not be eligible for BEST ENTERTAINMENT entry at this point as all performance/skit files must be submitted a day before the competition.

STEP 2 CHECK-IN:

  • For Participants who successfully registered ONLINE: Those who registered online will need to check-in at Organizer’s booth to confirm your attendance before 12pm on the day you choose to participate. Those registered as GROUP must also make sure everyone in your team is present at the check-in, TOGETHER. You may also be asked to have your props inspected by us.
  • For those registering on-site / Reserve list – either you are immediately told you have a place or you will have to wait to be informed if you secured a slot by 2pm (be sure to check any notification via phone or check with Organizer’s booth). *Please note that you will not be eligible for BEST ENTERTAINMENT entry at this point as all performance/skit files must be submitted a day before the competition.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Number arrangements given by the organizer are FINAL. We will not disclose participants’ information UNTIL the assembly before competition starts. Those who have successfully registered online but did not show up during check-in before 12PM during the day of your competition, your entry will beforfeited and your place will be automatically replaced by those in reserve list.

STEP 3 ASSEMBLE:

30 minutes before Cosplay Showdown starts, you will be called to a designated area for assembly. Judges may come to greet and ask you questions in regards to your cosplay. Be nice, be courteous. But no bribing /threatening, we are watching you!

STEP 4 READY FOR SHOWDOWN:

Break a leg! Have fun! Once Emcees announce your name, you will be up on stage to do your thing! Those who have a skit will perform first and followed by Q&A by the emcees. For those without a skit, emcees will immediately interact with you with some Q&A. Don’t worry; they are not go going test your geek level like which year did Pokemon started. Their questions are usually in relation to your costume build (highlights of your costume) or references related to your character or cracking up a joke, which actually can make you feel more relieved on stage.  After that, strike a final pose and off the stage you go!
